Growing up I was never a fan of service projects. In fact I dreaded them, often times it was because I didn’t see the point – I wasn’t able to see the different i was making and the results of my service. What I’ve learned throughout the years is that service doesn’t have to be huge monumental events, but rather smaller acts of kindness that add up to a greater picture. Majority of individuals admit they’re happier when they’re serving, and I 100% include myself in that group. I want to get involved so I can see the results and know the small and perhaps seemingly insignificant things, like an instagram post or small book drive, can possibly spark others to step outside of themselves and join the cause of ending poverty.
